Metronomo is a tool for creating practice grooves. These pages cover what each part of the app does and how the parts fit together.

Press and hold. While the Metronomo UI is designed to be as intuitive as possible, some features do require a press and hold action rather than a simple tap or drag. These are identified in each case in the docs below.

Beats and accents

Build a bar from one to sixteen beats, each set to one of five accent levels.

Subdivisions

Insert a tick track between beats; customize it to generate specific rhythms.

Tempo

Set playback from 20 to 480 BPM using a windowed slider that makes it easy to navigate the entire scale to set the exact tempo you want.

Count in and timers

Set count in, alarm, and pause timers to add precision to your practice.

Sound and volume

What Metronomo’s five accent levels sound like, the two beat timbres, and how volume works.

Playing

Metronomo’s transport, how the click is scheduled against the audio hardware, and what keeps playing when you put the phone down.
